There are plenty of quiet streets to walk or
run through. You can also do laps on the Alumni Field track and get ready for the
annual Monster.com 5 Mile Road Race that takes place in early September.
The Maynard Conservation
Commission maintains a number of trails in town which provide a
way to enjoy nature right here in Maynard.

Cycling in Maynard is almost an
oxymoron - you can pretty much cycle through Maynard in about 8 minutes...
The Maynard Bicycle Advisory Committee promotes safe cycling in
town. They are also working to get the Assabet
River Rail Trail up and running. If you are into distance
riding and racing, you might want to check out the Minuteman
Road Club. |

Maynard is surrounded by golf courses -- and we
have one of our own too. The Maynard Country Club is
located off of Rt. 27 near the Acton border. Nearby Stow has several golf courses. A
15 minute drive east brings you to the Nashawtuc Country Club golf course in Concord -
home of the FleetBoston Classic. |

Maynard has an active Little League program that plays
at Green Meadow and other town fields. |
