What is STAR Tech®? Soft Tissue Active Recovery Technique (STAR Tech®) is a treatment method for fast pain relief, healing and soft tissue recovery. It is used by individuals who have a working knowledge of muscles and other soft tissue, and includes Massage Therapists, Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Fitness Trainers, Coaches and others. STAR Tech is based on an understanding of the body's natural ability to self-heal. What STAR Tech® Does STAR Tech® effectively addresses soft tissue conditions, speeding the recovery process for muscle pain, muscle tightness, chronic spasms, inflammation, injuries, trigger points, scar tissue and adhesions. STAR Tech restores the effected area to as close to its original condition as is possible. STAR Tech is useful for releasing muscles that are acutely or chronically tight. It can help release adhesions and can reduce scar tissue, making the site more pliable, flexible and less likely to suffer re-injury. STAR Tech is effective for treating conditions such as neck and shoulder pain, headaches, whiplash, frozen shoulder, golfers and tennis elbows, carpal tunnel syndrome, back and hip pain, sciatica, shin splints and plantar faciitis to name a few. How STAR Tech ® Works STAR Tech ® uses the Mind-Body connection to accomplish its remarkable changes in soft tissue. The healing comes from deep within the body, using what Herbert Benson MD called "Remembered Wellness". The body wants to be well and STAR Tech provides the information and environment for the body to self-heal quickly and efficiently. The length of time a person has suffered soft tissue pain or injury makes little difference when giving a STAR Tech treatment. So long as that soft tissue was at one time "normal", the body remembers, and initiates the recovery process. Healing is often permanent. In certain special situations, healing can even be instantaneous. STAR Tech works fast because the brain works fast. STAR Tech is based on the same mind-body connection mechanism that makes Active Isolated Stretching so effective. By using a combination of motion and manual tension, fast and often permanent re-organization of soft tissue is accomplished. Additional Uses STAR Tech ® is an excellent treatment procedure to add traditional Sports Massage. It is a valuable maintenance tool for athletes, quickly increasing range-of-motion and flexibility. Athletes are able to train and perform harder and longer when STAR Tech is used. It is also a fast-acting healing treatment for sports injuries and effectively helps prevent re-injury. |

| Massage Therapist Barry Bailey MS, LMT has been using STAR Tech® for 3 years, often incorporating it as a regular part of his treatment procedure, or using it as a separate treatment in itself. Bailey has been able to help clients shed new as well as old pain, and has helped several clients avoid surgery that was recommended as the "only remaining solution". He teaches STAR Tech® to Massage Therapists, BodyWorkers, Medical and Sports Professionals. He has also developed simplified self-administered techniques that can be used by members of the general public who have no medical or massage training. |

| The STAR Tech ® Workshops being offered by Barry Bailey will take the student through treatment protocols for numerous soft tissue problems. Classes include an explanation of how and why STAR Tech works and an anatomy review of the muscles that are involved in the different conditions. After techniques are demonstrated each student practices under the lecturer's supervision to assure that everyone is comfortable with what has been presented. STAR Tech incorporates techniques that are unlike what has been learned in most massage training. Self-help techniques will also be included. The Athlete and Self-Help Workshops offered by Bailey are peppered with STAR Tech techniques that can be self-administered. The results of which STAR Tech® are capable may sound like science fiction -- too good to be true. But they are real. STAR Tech is truly "Healing of the Future ... Now!"
